The exercise took place at the premises of the orphanage on Saturday 23rd March 2024.
As part of her duties to carry out Micro Projects within her community and its environs, Miss MEVCUDA 2023, Ngounue Mariva Ingrid, identified, reached out to the administration at the centre to carry out the activity, as a token to indicate her intentions to do more.
“Our coming here, is not to carry out a donation exercise per say, but to carry out a case study, which will enable me to establish a proper needs assessment that will lead to a proper donation exercise. However, we could not come to the centre empty handed” the beauty queen highlighted.
Present at the ceremony, The Divisional Delegate of Women Empowerment and The Family in Fako, Mme Takere Carine hailed the beauty queen and her collaborators for carrying out the activity, where she pledged her support to the Miss MEVCUDA platform for subsequent philanthropic activities.
Also Present at the event was the representative of the Divisional Delegate of Social Affairs Fako, Mr. Mwanjo Clement.
After her lecture on FIRST AID in children and adults, the symbolic handover was characterized by the gifting of basic household items as well a cash amount of 100.000frs which she said was “going to buy fresh fish and vegetables” to accompany the items she brought.
Speaking to Mr. Nkwelle Jerry, an administrator at the centre, he expressed gratitude to the beauty queen for her kind gesture and thanked the MEVCUDA organisation for enabling the activity.
SAVE THE CHILDREN ALLIANCE ORPHANGE was founded by Mama Ngale Josephine in Limbe and is a registered centre under the MINISTRY OF SOCIAL AFFAIRS.
The centre harbours about 20 children who are in the primary and secondary school levels.
