In the first phase of the workshop, farmers in the Limbe 1, 2, 3 and West Coast as well in Fako Division have been taught on the identification, diagnosis and differences between AFRICAN SWINE FEVER(virus) and ERYSIPELAS (bacteria).
The workshop which focused on livestock owners as star participants convened at the conference room at the MEVCUDA HQ in Limbe to learn about the diseases and get possible solutions and management of their livestock.
During the second phase of the capacity building workshop, one of MEVCUDA’s sponsors the National Cocoa and Coffee Board ONCC/NCCB drilled farmers who specialise in Cocoa and Coffee on the management and marketing of these cash crops.
Speaking to the National Coordinator of the MEVCUDA Project, HRH Ndiko Fonderson Henry, highlighted the fact that a capacity building workshop done by the organizers of the MEVCUDA AGRO-SYLVO PASTORAL EXHIBITION AND FARMERS SUPPORT SCHEME needed to be done in order to help farmers gain knowledge in various domains of their respective fields.
