MEVCUDA Needs Assessment

Introduction:

For the past ten editions of MEVCUDA since 2014, we have been hiring the following items to successfully run our annual MEVCUDA activities.
We believe that if MEVCUDA could own the items below, we could save over Fifteen Million francs XAF ($30.000USD) which is usually spent annually on hiring them. The items will also serve as an income generating source as MEVCUDA will systematically be hiring them to other end-users.

Thirty-Five Million, Eight Hundred Thousand francs, which is approximated at about ($50.000USD) excluding items 12, 13 and 14 whose prices are not provided in the above costings.

Item 10. Computer set, T.V set, AC, office table, office desk, refrigerator, surveyor camera, printers, photocopiers, computer set, T.V sets, A.C, Office desk, Refrigerators, Surveillance cameras, Laptops.

NOTE: Worthy to mention is the fact that, MEVCUDA does not depend on a single donor to provide all of the above items, however we expect persons of goodwill to dig deep into their pockets towards the above, either in cash or kind.

AGRIC INPUT FOR MEVCUDA REGISTERED FARMERS

There are over 500 registered MEVCUDA farmers who are contributing towards food production in Fako Division and elsewhere. 2/3 of the food crop sold at the big mop market to traders from Douala and other locations are cultivated by MEVCUDA registered farmers.

Considering that the six years armed conflicts has affected several farming communities with massive exodus, MEVCUDA seeks to reinforce and empower the over 500 registered farmers to continue and increase production. The following input will be distributed to beneficiary farmers in a justifiable manner if provided.

  1. Herbicides, Insecticides and Pesticides
  2. Seedlings
  3. Spraying cans and Blowers
  4. Cutlasses and Pickaxes
  5. Hoes and Diggers
  6. Shovels and Spades
  7. Wheelbarrows and Push Trucks
  8. Water pumps
  9. Electricity generators
  10. Motorbikes

A distribution and follow-up plan shall be established by our MEVCUDA team to ensure that the beneficiary farmers justify the impact of the inputs.
